Grace Red

Grace is an Air Force veteran who continues to serve, while working for the Veterans Affairs. A long-time resident of San Jose, her community involvement began when she attended a neighborhood meeting hosted by the City of San Jose to announce proposed plans to develop a community golf course into high-density housing. This proposal sparked a high interest among residents which triggered a need to build a neighborhood association to have a voice.

Grace participated with local residents in forming Pleasant Hills Neighborhood Association (NA) in 2003 under the guidance of then Neighborhoods Development Center. Through collaboration with NA’s and active involvement with United Neighborhoods of Santa Clara County leadership conferences and forums, Grace’s civic spirit continue to be a part of her personal interest.
