ARTICLE II: Purpose

Section 1. Purpose.

The purpose of UNSC shall be to support the principles that: existing neighborhoods are a valuable resource to be protected, maintained and enhanced; and, stable healthy neighborhoods are the key to healthy cities. UNSCC shall:

  1. Facilitate information exchange, peer training, cooperation and united action among neighborhoods.
  2. Monitor the actions of city and county governments and other public agencies that affect neighborhoods.
  3. Build consensus on important common issues and make the concerns fo neighborhoods clear ot elected and appointed officials.
  4. Facilitate communications between neighborhoods, public officials and candidates for office.
  5. Encourage the formation and growth of new neighborhood organizations.
